321 is the highest grade movement ever…its in the (in the words of ArchieLuxury) man-on-the-faaaaaaaaken-mooooooonwatch… It’s apparently had a service. I wonder what @mr_yossarian thinks…
It was for sale here first, seller picked his price. It was a good deal for a great watch. You snooze, you lose.
I guess we get used to the "Keeping it in the OF Family" type posts. Now it's just been grey market marked up like a basic rolex.
It was a good deal. There have been LOTS of great watches that were under priced that sat on the forum with no buyers. If people are slow to recognize that, imho, too bad. There's a lot of buying that only happens if it's cheap. Collectors are more than happy to buy a watch cheaper from another collector even when the other guy is losing money. It's still a collector forum. A lot of people buy from dealers. Dealers warranty their watches, often servcing them in advance. Dealers take risks, it might not sell. The seller was probably happy to sell to a well known buyer, as he should be.
I agree. Arguably still a good deal Anyhoo…my intention was to let our fellow brothers know they can either have it (still if they missed out) or not buy it (if they dont like lining other peoples pockets)…so neutral post 321 rocks! My favorite movement ever (seconded only by other Lemania movements) Apologies mods if i break rules by lighting up a sales post after the fact…
I really don't see a problem, if he thinks he can get 7k for it then fair play to him. It's not like he bought it here for €2K 5 minutes after it was listed. And even then haven't we all flipped a good deal once in a while?
...bought Monday, back for sale by Thursday-kinda-service...if. Either a lie or the sloppiest level service to be had.
Buying here from fellow members purely to sell on, with absolutely no interest in the watch for what it is (a very desirable Omega) seems wrong to me! Likely the buyer expressed a real, heartfelt interest in the watch in PMs!!
