·woah what a turn of events! talking about a plot twist at the end! lol so what was the final price? I would love to own a similar watch one day but realistically speaking how can you really wear it without fears of damaging it? I have a 145022-69 that I adore and its in perfect condition and I think I'm so afraid of getting it chipped or something that I don't give it the sunlight that deserves. Its not like you can park it away from the crowds like a nice car! (and I don't have a nice car) I guess just PTSD of growing up poor with few nice things 😜

·Was quickly looking through this thread. For posterity: I have had two 2998-4s...still have one. Both had/have the straight subdial hands, and both had just one other owner who did not have them replaced. We must be careful when we start to believe we are experts and say "this is always true in this circumstance". I've been at it a long time and am not an expert. Spacefruit's comment was well made.
