Offered for sale is a highly sought after vintage 145.012-67 Speedmaster. This piece has the Omega caliber 321. The last year of production of the 321 was in the 68 Speedmaster models for a limited time before switching to the Omega 861.
I wear this daily and always keep it wound. I notice no time loss or gain.
I was told that I am the 5th owner of this watch. The buyer will be the 6th.
Dial: The dial is an AML(applied metal logo), wide spaced "Swiss Made Ts" with long indices and stepped dial in very good condition. Tritium indices are all original.
Bracelet: Period correct 1039 bracelet with correct 516 endlinks. The links are tight, there is no stretch whatsoever.
Hands: The hour and minute hands are, to the best of my knowledge, original to the watch. No lume loss.
Case: Asymmetric case. Case shows some wear and light scratches as one would expect. Caseback has one slip scratch from a previous person trying to open. Hippocampus visible and in good condition on the caseback, which is stamped 145.012-67 as it should be.
Bezel: Ghosting DON bezel in overall very nice condition (it looks much better in the metal than in pics like most Speedy bezels). This DON has a really really nice ghost look to it! Bezels in this condition have no problem fetching $2k and up, as excellent examples are becoming harder and harder to find for vintage pieces.
Crown and Pushers: Period correct crown according to MWO. Pushers are original.
Caliber: Omega Cal 321, serial 25,00X,XXX, serviced within the last 3-4ish years. Movement is keeping excellent time with all subdials resetting to 0. Winds and sets very smoothly.
Crystal: Original crystal with narrow Omega logo.
