·Up for sale is my all-original Omega Speedmaster 105.012-66CB (serial 24,958,XXX) that was purchased from the estate of the original owner, a surgeon in the armed forces. The watch is truly the definition of "Collector Grade" and also has the original purchase papers. I personally have not seen a better example, and have worn it sparingly over the past year and a half.
Case: The case is in fantastic shape, with razor sharp bevels on top of the lugs (the hallmark of CB cases from 1966 only). There is one ding on the side of a lug (pictured), but it's hardly noticeable when on the wrist - I actually forgot it was even there until I took the photos for this posting.
Dial: All lume plots are intact and exhibit nice, even patina. There are a couple small dots of tritium that are on the inside of the crystal (as in, very small). Not sure exactly where they came from - for full transparency, I've included a macro shot of the top of the dial that shows the spots I'm referring to. They can easily be cleaned off, I just didn't want to take it back to the watchmaker, lest something happen.
Hands: The hands exhibit matching lume and are cosmetically perfect.
Movement: I had the watch serviced shortly after purchasing it and have worn it sparingly since. The movement is in great shape and all functions work crisply and correctly. Serial is noted above (and shown in the papers).
Bezel: Original bezel with correct dot-over-ninety orientation in perfect condition.
Strap: The watch will be sold head-only. If a strap is required, I will include a used leather NATO strap.
My price is $14,000 or best offer. Payment via PayPal (add 3% if using PP) or direct bank wire. US sale preferred, international sales will pay the cost of shipping. Face-to-face in Chicago is also welcome for local buyers. Finally, I have plenty of references available as a buyer and seller that I can provide if necessary.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions via PM here, to [email protected] or through Instagram to @bazamu. More pictures can be made available by request.
