Wow, I'm so happy you've finally found a premoon from CK2998 family look forward to see it in flesh Congrats !
Superb write up and great camera work. A truly special watch and it looks like your impulse purchase worked out well! Congratulations!
Good find , also thank you never knew about Depora. Hope your watch maker will fix the pusher as well. Glad I read your post after I came back from a trip to Italy as I was in Modena and the sharp lugs on the two 105.002 would have been very tempting. Wondering if they have been refinished as they look very sharp compared to the rest of the watch?
Good job and thanks for sharing with us your rare Speedy. Only one thing...the lume of the 105.002 is made of Radium. Tritium dial is from 105.003 (t swiss t). Cheers Max
I believe tritium replaced radium around the 2998-6, even though the dials were not updated until the 105.003.
Beautiful watch. Very well thought out write up. Loved the pictures. Also the wrist shot with the Speedmaster out of focus to spotlight the city scape, or just the Rolex factory in the background? That one photo appears to have been well thought out. Congrats on the watch. And thanks again for the wonderful post.
