Mine also works fine. If it is on my wrist the deviation is within the METAS specification. However if I am not wearing it , it usually lose time.

It depends what position the watch is in. Like if it's upside down vs right side up, vs sideways as well as if the reserve is below 50 percent is my guess.

Great review, and though my watch is newer on my wrist I agree with everything you said.

The watch in black is beautiful.

On the wave dial, all the super closeup shots and videos we see make the waves really stand out. The reality is the distance between your eyes and your wrist is much further away and it's not distracting at least for me.

I believe long time Omega fans are so used to the flat dial that when they saw the Waves for the first time they were not used to seeing it with it.

I also have a Tag Heuer Aquaracer and though I like the watch a lot, it does not give you that Wow feeling when you look at it. The Seamaster is an upgrade in so many ways and just looking at it gives a different feeling. I do feel its on the same quality as a Rolex. Just a lot less expensive to buy.

I'm curious what made you decide to purchase a second Diver watch that is also blue and not another color? Do you find them that different that you enjoy the same color?

I am so done with leather straps and am glad how ncie the newer rubber straps look like. Though I love the leather bands, the sweat on your arm makes all of them smell after awhile and you have to pay so much money to replace them.

I also have an Aquaracer WAN2211. I like both of them. But the Seamaster has this extra wow factor as you say

Great review! I really was not drawn to the new SMPC based on online photos. I tried one on at the local AD and was very impressed. The wave dial looks very different and much better in person. I really liked this watch. I am rethinking my next watch purchase.
This is why I don't go to ADs

The waves blend into the dial more than you would think. Go try it on, you won't be disappointed.

Great review, I've had mine a little over a week and I love it! Traded in a twenty year old Submariner. Left with my new Omega and enough cash to pay for my original purchase. Love the blue!

    Great long-term review!
Just got mine this weekend and it goes currently 3s/day fast, will keep track how it evolves in the next weeks/months.

I’ve owned one for 6 months now and can say I barely notice it and it doesn’t bother the way it looks or feels on the wrist. If anything it sets it apart from most divers and grabs more attention. IMO

Thanks all for your posts and pictures.

In my original post, I added a 1 year update after wearing the watch since September last year. Time flies...

You should have it regulated because it is not supposed to loose any time at all. METAS criteria is between 0 and 5...

Maybe later at first service... It's not that bad to get it regulated immediately (my opinion)

It's your choice:). I had a 43,5 PO with the 8900 movement before I got the 300M and the PO was -1 sek a day. The AD I bought it from told me to get it adjusted within the guarantee period because it shouldn't be under 0.
