Hi everyone, I came across this interesting vintage Omega (seamaster 14392-61 with caliber 285, according to the seller's description) that I’d like to buy.

Do you think it’s genuine? Are the components original/period-correct? Any idea of a fair price range?

Thanks a lot for your support with this purchase!

So its a 14392-61-SC. I found this one that is similar:

And one with the same hands:

And this one that is very similar, except not gold plated/filled: https://www.zeitvintagewatch.com/products/omega-classic-ref-14392-61-sc

Dial: the Omega logo/printing in the first picture looks off-center, and the minute markers are inconsistent. It is definitely a re-dial.

Hands: Hour/minute hand might be right, but that second hand looks painted black? I'd expect it to match.

Case: Isn't particularly sharp, looks like it has had a bit of a polish along the way.

Crown: I don't think that looks right. All of the 'most authentic' looking ones I found have a much lower profile crown.

Movement: Looks fine enough.

(Listing for reference for others: https://www.chrono24.com/omega/14392-61-sc-cal-285--id41803996.htm?searchHash=755b01c2_SOvvYW&pos=1)

At that price, I'd consider skipping that one. Just browsing our classifieds here, for about that price, you could get this very similar one (https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-seamaster-14390-61-sc.186280/) that looks way nicer (though not gold filled).

IF being in Europe is meaningful/useful to you (note if you ARE in the US, you have to pay a 39% tariff on any watches you import):

I'd much rather either of these:

The case appears to be ruined by plating loss.
