First of all, hello everyone.

This beautiful piece was my first Omega a couple of months ago. I bought it for 300 euros and gave it to an expert for a full service.

He told me that the watch is in very good condition. What do you all think? What is the real value? It’s not really important because I would never sell it anyway, but I’m still curious since I can’t find a similar one.

I also bought an f300Hz, but the expert said that the movement/system is pure trash 😂

Greetings from Germany.

Hi and welcome!

Nice looking watch, looks good on your wrist.

Best way to determin the value of a watch is -IMO- get the reference number (on the inside of the caseback on an Omega) and check the 'sold' listings on ebay.

The watchband seems to be a bit too small for the watch, is it 18mm and the lug width is 19?

Of course you can keep it as it is...

So take a seat and enjoy Omegaforums!

These vintage quartz watches are really underated. Unlike modern quartz made with injection molded plastic the old ones used metal plates and jeweled bearings.

First of all, a big thank you for the warm welcome!

I’ve already tried checking eBay, but unfortunately, there are no sold listings for this specific reference number. The number is Omega 196.0073, and the watch seems to be quite hard to find on eBay in general.

Also, thanks for pointing that out! I definitely learned something new today. I never noticed it before, but you’re right, the strap is 18mm, so I guess I’ll need a 19mm one.

They are quite affordable, too
Actually, I just picked up another one on Vinted today for €250 in very good condition.
It was a barn find, and the seller even took it to a watchmaker today to have it inspected. He sent me the receipt
everything is in perfect working order.

I love this watch so much that I ended up buying a second one for my father 😂

In my opinion, an omega watch with the calibre 1333 seems more interesting.
