Omega Seamaster Dial Dimension

Hmm. And from another POV you are building a fake with some geniune parts. Which rather negates the point in having the genuine parts I would have thought. This is a slippery slope I am afraid. If you had all legit parts you could send your watch to Omega or an Omega authorised place for parts and work, with a fake case fitted they will probably knock it back. There is something to be said for the Watchco approach since it opens the door to official channels and further official replacement parts.
Yes that I agree with. My long term approach is to replace with genuine and maybe the final part (the case) is something in the distant future I can find a genuine one for too. Then I have a 100% genuine Omega watch. Albeit not a factory SM300.

Ultimately I will never sell the watch and service it myself too. So I’m comfortable with the case being non genuine for the short term.

Kind of a weird project?
Even if you buy the parts, you will have a mixed up watch...and the serviceparts will look strange?

Have you looked at the FS here?
There is one for sale with a very nice price....

I'm confused by the "period correct" part of your question. They're service parts and therefore not period correct - they're modern.

Ok. Maybe I should clarify my position.

1. There’s no way I can afford a genuine watch. Even with all the parts so far I’m way under the cost of a genuine SM300
2. I would like to have as many genuine parts on the watch as possible where I can afford them
3. A matching dial and hands Lume is a high priority for me
4. The only matching hands I can find are the ones posted. These are about $600 AUD ($300 USD) and something I think I could stretch to
5. Having a watch with all genuine parts other than the case would make me feel better about not having a completely fake watch. It would also open the potential to replace the case in the future (a long time) and have a 100% Omega watch
6. I actually prefer the newer service parts vs old lume. So if I’m building a watch for me, why not make it 100% aesthetically as I want it

So I think this drives me towards buying the genuine hands, even if I don’t love the white seconds hand

So that’s all fair enough (I disagree with the fake case but it’s your watch), but there’s no point asking if service parts are period correct - they’re not, they’re modern service parts.
Perhaps it’s just a terminology thing. The hands you’ve posted look like the correct service hands for a 166.024

Also most of the enjoyment for me is in the process of sourcing parts and building the watch.

Oh let me be clear. I would love a genuine case! But that might have to wait for a while.

The hands will probably not match the dial perfectly. The glow does, the day color doesn't on mine. This is common among service dial and hands. It doesn't matter. Good luck.

Ok, that’s awesome info. Daytime matching it really important for me, so I might investigate matching the current hands I have as a starting point. Worst case I’ll buy the service hands and just deal with the non matching.

I might even see if I can find a professional in Australia to do the work and match the colour.

It's just unrealistic for service parts. The hands and dials are made at different times, probably by different manufacturers. When I say mine are different, it would be very difficult to photograph the difference and it's minor in person. Clearly the design intent is that they match.

Discussing a counterfeit case appears to violate forum guidelines.

Indeed. By now the OP has probably picked up on the fact his plans are not all that popular around here. I used to be anti-Watchco since I considered them to be purporting to be something they are not. I learned through gritted teeth to accept them since at least they use legit parts. I'm not inclined to extend the same slack to a Franken would be 'Watchco-with-fake-parts' put together.

Appreciate everyone’s advice. I’ll stop this thread here.
