Omega Seamaster DeVille: Legit or no?

Hi all,

Here is an Omega Seamaster DeVille from the 60s that I am trying to determine if legit/original because I am considering purchasing. It does not appear to be a redial to me, but I know many people have far more experience than myself so I just wanted to confirm. Further, it seems that the crown has been replaced and isn't Omega original. Does this line up with what you're seeing?

Based on the condition, I would also great appreciate an approximation of its value. (In other words, what the absolute most I should be willing to pay? Of course- by your judgement)

Thank you very much for any insight you can provide.

Dial is legit. Case and dial are in bad shape. Crown has been replaced. Pass
Thanks so much - really appreciate your response.

That's what I'm seeing as well. I can't imagine it is worth very much.

That's how I was feeling but you've solidified that for me. Thanks so much for your response - I really appreciate it.

I've been on the hunt for a nice vintage omega seamaster for some time... With a couple last-minute lost auctions on some nice ones. So, I've found myself becoming impatient and giving a second look at watches like this one. I need to refrain from that and this is a great reminder, although an annoying one. Thanks again.

Try to find better dials in general. This one has stains at random locations - the dial is the thing you look at every time you see the watch. This kind of damage might start bothering you quicker than you think!

Do people think that the damage to the dial is because of water ingress and that it may have damaged the movement too? Looks like there is some rust on the adjuster thingy.

I'll have a go at this. Did you notice that the second hand is not moving? Caliber 563 is automatic movement (also says so in the dial) so apparently the watch is not working.

Maybe, maybe not. If it has wound down completely, it might take several turns of the crown to get it going again. Simple movement may not do it.
