Hi all,

I found this watch and need your input. I know it's a repaint dial and I think it's overpriced (EUR 1500), but I'm not an expert as you guys. It's from a trusted dealer in the UK (Fine Watch Club).
Could you please have a look and tell what you think ?
I'd really appreciate it !
I put the main characteristics just below :
- Case Width: 34mm
- Dial: Black crosshair (repainted)
- Metal: Stainless steel case
- Year: 1963
- Movement: Automatic Cal 562
- Serial Number: 20969315

Thanks in advance !
Thanks in advance

I agree with you.

And the case looks overpolished as well.

I wouldn't buy this watch.

Thanks for your answer @OMEGuy. What would be a decent price for a watch like this ?
Do you know good seller/dealer (ex the omegaforum of course) ?

Thanks for your input

There are a lot of honest watches for fair prices from serious members in the for sale section here... Definitely worth searching. 😉

Maybe it's cheaper to buy a SMDV with a aged dial and let somebody repaint it in black if you really like this style.

Did Don Draper draw you to this example?
Not such a big fan of Mad men. Just like the style of the watch.

Fair enough. Don Draper liked the style of the watch as well!

The thin lugs are so attractive on this model.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty certain that Omega never made a black, crosshair SMDV. So any watch you see matching that description is a redial

I think you're right. No original models with crosshair black dial.
