Hello, new to the forum and my first post. Does anyone know where I can source a replacement stem? I'm in the process of restoring my dad's vintage 1956 Seamaster with broken stem. I ordered a stem extender which fits the broken stem but its having trouble engaging the setting lever. I fgured I'll try and see if I can find a replacement stem that'll fit the watch more properly. Thanks in advance for your input.

Thank you. I'm in US but will check them out. It seems Cal. 471 is vey unique and limited in production. I may need to find information about interchageability of parts between 471 and other similar era calibres.

The 471 is based on the 470 so, a one piece stem (I don't believe these came in a split stem design) for either is 4701106. These are readily available. Try Ofrei.

The 471 just appears to be a 470 with some mods to the auto system. Some 470 parts are also used in later calibres such as the 550-565.

Good luck, Chris

Thank you Chris, appreciate the Ofrei contact. They do indeed have a replacement stem for this watch.
