·Dears,
I want to sell this nice 176.004 aka Big Blue. It's a rare Seamaster 120 from the 70s.
It has the pilot case like the others refs. 176.xxx typical of those years.
44mm width, 22mm lugs (here you see with a 21mm strap).
It has an unpolished case with signs of wear.
The caseback has the signature of the watchmaker Dr. Frankenstein 🤦
The bakelite bezel is uncracked. It has some signs. It still glows in the dark. It turns smoothly.
The crown and pushers are original.
The dial is nice. It has all the tritium indexes complete. It has some light signs on the edge of the chrono hours subcounter and on the external minute scale. The subcounter of the 24h has some discoloration of the black paint.
I love to see how the blue of the dial changes under different lights!
The hands were relumed with tritium in the past. The color is different from the indexes.
The original crystal needs to be changed. There are some availble from an Ebay seller in US for 50$.
The 1040 movement (34millions) works well.
All the functions work properly. It resets well. It keeps a good time.
A revision is recomended. It has some rust and oxidation on the iron parts.
I bought it from the first owner. He used lot of times in the 70s and 80s during immersions in Lake Como.
I sell it as a project. Head only.
€ 4400 plus shipment from Italy with express courier (DHL,Fedex, TNT).
Thank you OF
Nico
