We have up for sale the legendary 165.024 Seamaster 300. This is an exceptional original example that comes to you serviced by Simon Freese with an Extract of the Archives that dates the watch to October 19 1966 and it was originally delivered to the UK. It is a true example of one of the great tool watches of the sea that is full of character.
The watch runs and functions as it should. The dial does show some strong patina and signs of aging with some darkening of the original lume plots, that aside the condition of the surface is very good. The hands show some age as well with a stabilised crack to the lume of the minute hand. The case is in its original state with no signs of being polished but with signs of heavy use, this is most evident on the bottom right lug which would be consistent with a life lived as a tool watch. It comes on its original 1039 bracelet dated 2/67 and on original 516 end links. The calibre 552 movement was serviced by Simon Freese in August of this year.
