·For sale is an as found Seamaster 300 ref 165.024 from 1967.
Currently located in Australia, however I will be in europe for a few weeks soon so can send within the EU for those interested.
Its not the best example on the market, but it certainly is the most affordable!
I have only given it a quick clean and lightly buffed the crystal. The watch is otherwise as found.
It appears the lume has been touched up/redone in the past on the dial.
This is a watch that was used for purpose reportedly from an abalone diver originally, then sat in a drawer for many years.
The marks on the crystal and case describe a story of its use when watches were made to be used. It has been serviced many times in the past looking at the caseback.
In used condition, the watch is overall cohesive in its appearance, an honest piece that has been mostly untouched.
Case: 40mm, dents and marks, but is not overly polished. Original omega signed plexiglass. Bakelite bezel is intact, but has cracks (common). Bezel ring rotates, but needs new bearings.
Caseback: Caseback engraving is worn from wear, but still visible.
Dial: Some lume degradation, and potentially touched up in the past, however reacts appropriately under UV. Dial is otherwise very clean and all marks appear to be on the crystal.
Movement: Unserviced but running well
Comes with NATO strap and leather.
