So interesting story. I've been researching and deep diving into vintage Speedmasters when it lead me to this guy. He's actually local on my in Southern CA and he had this Seamaster 300 Military for sale and a few other Seamaster 300 that he bought all at once. He's an 80 year old guy and very "crochety" when I spoke to him on the phone. So I don't know if he just got scammed himself into buying a few fakes, or he may actually have something legit and he is trying "blow" them out since he's about to retire.

Here is one that he listed, but he said he could do much better "if he was in the mood" and I "flashed some cash". Is this a fake? And if so, so I be wary of his other Seamaster 300's being fake. He alleged that some "German" guy came by with another friend and said he had a bunch of franken watches, bad lume, and a Watchco Seamaster 300 that he's trying to see for $7-$8k each. I may be interested in a Seamaster 300 that he said he could see for $4k or so.

And ALL I wanted to buy from him was a 16mm PlaqueG Silver Buckle for my Speedmaster...lol.

Here is the "Military" he listed.

It’s utterly fake and not even an older fake. These are much more recent and only started appearing over the last couple of years. If he’s claiming to have owned this for years he’s lying.

The amount of counterfeit parts this guy has listed is staggering.
