I'd love to take a picture with you. We're polar opposites. You always look impecable and I always look like someone just scooped me from the bottom drawer.

I can confirm that a SM300 LE will be offered... Stephen Urquhart was wearing it on Sunday and let me see it for just a quick glimpse...

Now this is just a prototype, but...
Gloss dial not faux patina
Brushed bracelet (no PCL) ( with NATO in the box - like the AT LE with cordura)
Subtle changes to the second hand and Bezel, and '007' on the clasp...

Super cool!
Fantastic. I placed an order about 4 month ago on this future model. I am going to give my boutique a call to remind them. Has been worth to wait for this LE I think.

I love the idea of no fake patina, the glossy dial I'd like to see, the center links either way works for me ....the 007 branding I can't, I just can't. I would never enjoy the watch.

On the subject of fake patina one reviewer said the original sm300's had radium on the dial and it was yellow tinged from new. In that case it isn't fake patina it's just yellow lume. Now I've had the privelage of owning one for the last few months I think the lume looks stunning.

Yes... The new LE will be great, but I agree with you Sergio...

I was happier to have the actual watch...
Your suit looks way better than DC's...

Normally, I don't go in for the limited editions. No "007" on the dial, thank you. This one is different. The unique markings are on the case back, on the circumference of the movement, visible through the sapphire crystal. You can hardly see it with the NATO strap affixed to the watch. The 007 logo, very small, is on one of the metal pieces on the NATO. It's also on the clasp of the bracelet (which can be replaced with a standard clasp or buckle).

The watch itself has subtle differences from the standard model. Different bezel. Proportions of the Omega logo slightly larger. Different second hand.

The watch comes with two sets of spring bars. Why? One set is intended for the bracelet, the other is engineered specifically for the NATO. We've all heard about bent spring bars being a risk with NATOs. Supposedly, this specially designed spring bar is the fix.

The watch is beautifully packaged. A lock box, substantial in size. A loupe. Tools to switch bracelet and NATO strap.

It is identical to the one worn in the film.

It recalls the classic Seamaster 300m. Its crown, sans crown guards, is also reminiscent of the Rolex Submariner worn by Connery in "Goldfinger", with a large crown, also free of crown guards. In "Goldfinger" and "Thunderball", Connery's Rolex is worn on a nylon strap. Not a true NATO, but with a striped color scheme. The new watch is a true NATO with a dark grey and black striped color scheme.

Anyway, after reading about it the other day, I called the Omega boutique in LA. Brought it home last night. I find it to be a handsome, interesting watch, with a neat blend of old and new design features and technology. As a life long and hard core Bond fan, and as a person who has long admired watches, particularly Omegas (got the bug watching my dad by a Speedmaster Professional in 1975, when I was ten), I couldn't resist it and snapped it up, full MSRP or not.

For me, a treat...

A couple of quick photos...

The Submariner in "Goldfinger", for comparison...

The use of the new watch in the upcoming film is a neat homage to the classic Bond films of the 1960s, which launched the most successful, long lasting and influential film franchise...

the real Bond strap should be : dark blue, burgundy and green.
Mine is black burgundy green but I'm in hunt for the real one, expecting Onega to release one in LE for Spectre movie day 1😉
Let's see...

Why should Omega release a strap copy of a rolex watch. They establish their own colours for the natos. I think.

Watchmen, I agree and that's exactly the issue :
- the grey / black NATO is considered as a "wrong" interpretation of the "real" Bond strap
- the blue, burgundy olive is considered as the real one - but worn by Sean Connery

So, Omega, if they wanted to establish their own colors should have chosen neither the wrong or the right, but their own 😉 and options are unlimited !

Let's imagine an olive green / gray, or brown / navy / red ...

From what I can gather the Bond LE is considerably more expensive than the ordinary SM300. I have not seen either of them in the flesh but for those of you who have, are you getting a lot more bang for your buck or paying over the odds for a nato strap and lollipop hand?

@lillatroll
That is always the mismatch. You have to bear the higher price or you leave it.🙁

By the way I am not sure what the price for the standard is right now. I bought a ti 300 last year.
