What was the press fit part number? If I can find them for a decent price I'll order both
Well technically there isn’t one for your case, but the one that it likely would be if your case was fitted with one is 090ST1231.

There is an entire tool kit from OMEGA to convert the press fit tubes to a later threaded design. This is recommended to make the tubes easier to swap out going forward and to make sure the tube stays put even when the crown is screwed down hard over and over. Have had a lot of use out of mine.

It can be difficult to guess what tube is needed and what is still available for each case reference, this way, the watchmaker is in control and not at the mercy of production changes over time.

Here it is...

Ready to drill out the old tube:

Now ready to tap the case for the threaded tube:

They don't sell it as a complete kit in the box anymore, but to give you an idea the base alone is about $2600, plus a lot of smaller bits and pieces. I think when they offered thew whole kit it was somewhere around $5k or so...

Off topic but I just cracked my 2231.50 open and there's the letters PJ printed inside the case back. Any ideas?

I see this often, but not sure what significance it has…
