I made a deal locally for this honest 68-69 165.024 It came out of a retired jewelry store just a couple years back only needing a service.

From everything I can see it looks correct. 28M serial cal. 550, sword hands, original matt dial with a spot above 6, correct bezel and crown, and Centrale case, all appropriate for the serial. Hands and dial both appear to have been re-lumed long ago.

I wanted to share as it's a watch I've long sought.

I expect your serial is 28251xxx, mid 1969 US batch. Nice watch!
Thanks Knudsen! Is this info somewhere I could reference? My wife says I get hyper focused and obsessive, but I like to learn all I can about the more special watches I obtain.

Are you sure it鈥檚 a relume? Some from that era naturally got that greenish looking patina

After only a week on the forum. I really get the need to find a original 300 and sell my watchcos I鈥檓 thinking been on here is going to cost me a lot of money

I guess if you trade both of your watchco's you can buy a decent vintage one.
