Hello all
First post here and I'm wondering about my Omega Seamaster 2849-13. I bought and on Chrono24 and saw it's a 503 movement and is gold capped from 1958. When I saw the watch in person I noticed it lacked the Swiss Made marking below 6 o'clock does this mean a redial?

Yes, it's a redial and a really bad one at that. 😲

Confirms my suspicions. It could be worse at least it's real and a nice wearer. I like it despite being a redial. Thank you for helping.

I think that that’s the right approach. It’s a pretty watch and if it’s accurate and comfortable you’ll get a lot of pleasure from it as a daily wearer. You can think of it as unique. Enjoy it.

I have to say that if I’d bought it - and I might easily have done so, I’d wear it very happily. Remember @Kenny1996, 99.99% of those who’ll see your watch (excluding those who like sub-dials, dive watches or ornate over expensive status watches) will see it as an Omega and admire it.

Amen... 100% agree

Enjoy your watch

The movement is signed properly and its copper colored so I think there's nothing to worry about

Well, you asked 'how does it look', but if you’re happy ....

Hello, Does anyone know how watches such as Rolex and Omega were sold in the 1950s and 60s? Did brands have their own shops or did they pay jewellery stores to sell their watches?
