Dear OF

This is my first sales post, so please let me know via PM if I mistakenly misrepresented anything or you think crucial information is missing.

Up for sale is an Omega Seamaster ref. 2846 that I purchased in March this your from our own @MtV who in turn had just previously bought it from a Swiss collector. It was meant to be my daily beater, but I have bought so many watches recently that this one hasn't gotten any wrist time anymore and should therefore find a new home.

Specifications:
Model / reference: Omega Seamster ref. 2846
Case material: stainless steel
Movement: Calibre 501, the serial number dates the watch to approx. 1956. The watch was serviced in April 2018.
Dial: Two tone dial with radium lume, arabic 3-6-9-12 hour markers
Crown: Original signed modern clover crown
Crystal: Original, signed
Measurements: 34mm in diameter without crown, lug size 18mm
What comes with it: Priced for head only, but I'm happy to leave the pretty worn green strap on the watch. Original service receipt is part of the deal.

Price: I'm asking €590 (or the equivalent amount in CHF or USD). Payment through Wise is preferred, or otherwise bank transfer. The watch and I are located in Switzerland.

Free delivery within Switzerland, add €30-50 on top for insured international shipment depending on your location.

Condition:
Dial: A two-tone dial with a white center that turned into light creamy color, which is hard to capture (with my limited photographic skills). The dial condition is not perfect, but the issues are minor in my opinion. The most visible blemish (relatively speaking) is the scratch around 4 o'clock. There a some spots above and below the "S" of Seamaster. There is also a small dent around 9 o'clock which is hardly visible and hard to capture, but it's there. So are some light stains in the same area, which are also almost invisible with the naked eye. There is also some slight patina in the outer ring of the dial, mostly to the right of 12 o'clock.
The hands are somewhat oxidated. The hour hand may have been relumed given the brighter color, but I'm not sure.

Case: The case has obviously been polished. There are also some dings and dangs here and and there, i.e. on the upper left lug, or on the bezel between 1 and 2 o'clock.

Movement: The movement was serviced in April 2018 by an Omega certified independent watchmaker in Switzerland. The mainspring was replaced. The original service receipt is in my possession and will be passed to the buyer. While it would be a stretch to claim that the service was recent, the buyer still wouldn't have to worry about an immediate service.

To sum up, while not a collector's dream piece in terms of condition, this watch would still make a reliable and eye catching daily beater or an entry into the world of Omega Seamasters of the 50s that doesn't break your bank account.

I hope I haven't missed anything. Thanks OF for the space!

Imo, a very good price for an attractive watch. And it hasnt become a single Euro more expensive since it changed hands the last times. Good on you for that, that's the spirit 😀

Also, if I may: I’ve met the guy in person and have multiple times trusted him with watches. I’m aware he doesn’t have any seller reviews here yet, but for what it’s worth to a potentially interested party: you couldn’t wish for a more easy to talk to, thorough, friendly and trustworthy seller. Happy to vouch for @iamvr anytime - and I do mean that.

GLWS!
