Look at those dark areas on the car around 7 and 8. That’s where the gold plate has worn away.

Pass on this one and wait for a better one

Far more in both time and effort than the watch is worth.
Generally speaking, unless a watch has sentimental value its false economy to refurbish a knackered watch. It almost always costs more in the long run than the value of the watch. Always better to simply start with a good example.

He should pay YOU for taking it off his hands. The case is ruined! Case lugs nearly worn completely through because of a bad choice of bracelet. Please tell us you will NOT be buying this turd!

I simply wouldn’t buy it. Even if it was offered at €150.
It’s not a good watch. With a bit of patience you can get a much better one for €450

Thanks for asking BEFORE you made a bad purchase. Often, new collectors buy a bad example, ask for an opinion here, and the get mad that people don't like the poor condition watch they bought.

Please be patient, study up, and keep any eye on the sales section - you will find much better examples there.

I wouldn't buy it at any price, but it might be worth something like 50-100 euros.

Overall recommend avoiding gold plated/filled as much as possible since it wears off so easily. Gold capped is a little better as it is a MUCH thicker layer of gold than filled or plated. Of course, this commands a higher price. Example shown is not worth buying whatsoever, you can get some beautiful watches if you are patient for just a little more than 450 euros.
