    Hello, first poster here :),

I recently found an Omega Seamaster at a yard sale for 1€. It was from an old french lady. The movement and logo seems off, but I'm not an expert and it looks old. It even has some of the gold stamps. Could some of you please help me get more infos on this ?

Even if it's an old fake, I'm interested in learning more about who might have made it and how old it could be. Could you please help me identify its authenticity and provide any additional information?Thank you! ::love::

That dial is awful and the movement looks like generic Chinese junk..... I don't think that watch has ever been anywhere near Switzerland before.

Yup - the gold stamps are also entirely false and hand-carved. Possibly nothing near gold, either.

These watches actually originated in Switzerland (and other European watchmaking regions) during the 1950s to 1970s.
They didn't use Chinese movements in that period. I haven't researched this movement, but it looks like a cheap Baumgartner zero jewel movement. Many of these "Highway Gold" fakes used ultra cheap Swiss and French basic movements.

I agree with your comments on the dial.
