Please help. I have an Omega Seamaster 1960 manual wind ,610 cal. Case 143.84-3-SC
I have recently had it refurbished and was wondering the Following?
Q1. What is the correct way to wind it?
Q2. Once fully wound how long should it run for. 24 hours, 39 hours etc etc.
Q3. Is it advisable to wind it more regularly , ie a number of times per day?
Q4. what sort of accuracy should it maintain I terms of seconds over a given day or period of time? Etc etc.

If someone who is an expert on the Seamaster 1960's manual wind , 610 cal. can please help with these questions it will be greatly appreciated?

A1 Simply fully wind it (A3 Once per day is enough, more doesn't hurt)
A2 According to Ranfft, 48 hours
A4 I am happy with +- 30 seconds per day, but if regularly serviced and perfectly regulated, you can probably get it into the 1 digit seconds range.

I usually wind my manuals every morning when I'm wearing one, and sometimes during the day if I'm thinking of something.

I find it can be an almost cathartic drift from the pressures to just sit back and listen to that tiny click as the cogs and wheels turn to give me another day of time.
