This is mine, directly acquired from 1st owner who used to dive as a hobby. Dial has small "bubbles" like MK1 Ploprofs, but is not a problem.

I cannot see any difference between both bezels (not talking about condition). The size of the triangle may be?

speedy4ever, me neither they both look like vintage Tritium Bezel and the Font also looks the same. The modern replacement has a way different font, you can see it one my first 1000m one page 1 of this thread.

This is mine - from my limited research, this has a service/replacement case and hands, but original dial and bezel.
Cal 1002 movement, serial number 3311xxx.
Is this an assembled piece or an original with service/replacement case and hands?
Your expert opinions appreciated!

Looks very nice, the lume on on the dial has aged nicely, the hands also look aged or is it just the lighting in the photo?
Do they still glow in darkness?
The only way to find out if it is a put together is by taking it apart to get the serial number of the movement and ask Omega for an extract of records then you know if the movement belongs to a 1000m.
But still it will only tell you the history about the movement, you will never know where
dial/hands, bezel and case came from.
What did happen to the old case?
Still a very nice watch. 馃憤

hands look original with tritium, but you could do the test. Leave it in the dark for 24 hours, the (still kept in the dark), open the box and see if it is shining. If yes, it麓s tritium.

If not, put it to light for a few minutes, then back in the dark: if after 10 minutes it is still shining, then it麓s luminova. If it麓s shining for only a few minutes, it麓s tritium

Hi all,

I'm glad to join that thread, as I have just bought a Seamaster 1000m from the grandson of the first owner here in Marseille.

I have read you thread very carefully, it was a great reading.

I did not know about the watches built with replacement cases, but that explains why there are many Seamaster 1000 on the market that look like new !

You cannot find any watch with patina, or with an extract of the records from Omega. Now I know why !

By the way, my watch has 8 lug holes. Does anyone know the reason for that ?

I will check the inside caseback engraving when I have the watch opened by my watchmaker for service and crystal change.

Congrats, but we need to see pictures 馃槈
All of the 1000m have 8 holes, they were made for different bracelets or straps.
The mesh works on the outer holes and the Isofrane on the inner.
Oh, Marseille.... sounds like Comex, did you get an extract already?

By the way welcome.. i think we met in RLX.

Seems like you are more lucky as i am, because your rubber gasket that sits between the rehaut and the dial didnt turn into tar and is stuck
on the edge of the dial 馃憤, or the watchmaker did already clean it up nicely
