Hi everyone.

I recently purchased a vintage Seamaster on Ebay.

Ref: 166.037 SP
Year: 1968 (based on serial)
Serial: 26921020
Movement: Cal.565
Case maker: SGR (Serge Graber, Renan)

Paid: $558 + $111.60 (import VAT) = $669.60 in total
I bought it in France from Japan so all the duties are done automagically in Ebay.

I've since managed to clean most of the gunk off the bezel.

Looks like it's keeping good time but I guess give it a few days.

To me the dial, hands, crown and plexi look correct but please let me know your opinions. Thanks.

Everything looks correct to me. A classic Omega from the 1960s.
Shame about the scratches from a ham fisted caseback opener, but they're not too bad, and you can't see them when you're wearing the watch anyway.

Thanks, the casebacks are often so bad on these from what I've seen. The dial looks new from a distance, definitely much better than the pics on Ebay so overall I'm pleased.

I have a very similar one (166.041) and I think yours is in better shape. Truly love this classic and simple look. I'm excited to finish getting mine all together and fixed up. Good find!
