Dear all.

I am hereby selling a serviced, stainless steel Omega Seamaster ref. 166.032 from around 1968.

I bought the watch a few years ago, never really got to use it, but have now had it serviced at an Omega trained watchmaker and put it up for sale.

The 36mm steel Seamaster case retains its bold facets and sunburst finish on the bezel, though some brushing has been lost to time and a polish or two. The lug width is 19mm.

There are a few nicks on the case, worst of which I have tried to capture in the below picture; note that it is one the 11 o'clock lug, so not readily visible.

The crown is the original item and the dial is free from serious degradation. The minute hand has lost a tiny bit of luminescent material.

The calendar is in Finnish which you will either find very useful, good fun or terribly annoying 😁

The cal. 752 movement was serviced August 2020 and runs beautifully within +4 seconds a day for the five days I wore it earlier this month.

I am asking €620 for this great Omega Seamaster, tracked shipping included to anywhere in the world. I will be happy to take returns within a week after you receiving the watch.

It’s also silly to put the price at the very end- because I believe people who like a type of watch will be interested in looking at the sales post and its pictures- even if they see upfront that they don’t like the price.

When you like a watch, you’re interested in keeping up with what’s on offer here and there- and burying the price is not going to make it more palatable.

Frankly that practice is almost insulting— as if burying the price is going to cause people to lose their senses once they see the pictures. If a watch is going to mezmerize the reader, it will happen regardless of whether the price is up or down.
And in the end, the reality will not vanish: either you can afford it or not.

So when did Germany adopt the Danish Kroner? I welcome you into our elite club 😁

Haha, oh my. That’s slightly embarrassing, my mind was with another transaction, apparently.

I‘d take your currency for the hole in the coins alone (sincerely hoping I’m not confusing currencies again here).

To me, there’s a difference between burying a price and putting it at the end. Frankly, stating the price at the beginning of the sales post would feel plain rude to me - I want to present what I have on offer, conditions and pricing concludes that (putting it in the title feels different and I support that).

Which is why I find this discussion quite interesting. We‘re coming back to this being an international hobby between a diverse group of people, I guess. All kinds of cultures and attitudes. One sales ad will never feel perfect for everybody.

To me the FS postings by @kov are the best in presentation I've seen on OF.

Our tanks will roll over the border in a matter of minutes, until then I suggest you rehearse your new national anthem:

I love how easy it is to tell when something sells for a good price on OF; the post floods watchrecon. 😉

Ha, that's fun! I've never used that site (app?), how come it is so prominently featured?

Is there a Finnish version of it? Trying to combine two tasks here. 😁

Hey! I see my watch!

By the way, I've edited the title with the price. Good point! 👍

I also see my watch on the bottom left corner. What does it mean? 😀

Thats surprising! I use it daily to comb through the various watch forums. Every time a sales post is bumped it goes to the top while keeping track of price changes/sold; would be nice if it didn't duplicate. 😵‍💫

I think having it in the title like CEP did or at the top in a bullet description like this

Rolex 14000 Airking
Produced 1999
Serial 24xxxxxx
$3,250 obo

Insert description here

Is like applying a header before a letter, a synopsis of sorts. I just find it clarifying and wouldn’t see it as rude at all.
