Hi, I am Elena, I am a newbie in this forum and I live in Italy. I have inherited a lot of watches from my dear daddy, and now I am spending some time to take care of them, keeping some and selling some others. I am thinking about to sell this Seamaster 145.029 to a friend, I would like to have from you Omega experts a rough valuation, considering that I would like to do a fair price, for a friend. Watch has not been serviced for a long time and connection of the bracelet at 12 o'clock seems to be not tight as it should be. Thanks
ps: picture of the watch at wrist is of my friend, i have not so many hair on the arms

Could be a small adjustment to the end links and straight spring bars. Curved ones not keeping the end link tight against the case.

maybe $400? For cleaning

EBay price for a similar model without bracelet at about $1650

depending on the type of friend and that you have any original bracelet (should be signed or not original)

maybe ask $1300 to offset the cleaning fee

some sites are asking close to $3000, but those are asking prices and EBay is an auction site and those prices are what people are willing to pay right away

It's a nice watch..1300 it's a fair price for a friend. If you want to sell to other persons Ebay auctions it's the best solution. You will loose about 10% of the actual ending price of the auction..

Thank you DON! Bracelet is a ref.1168, I have searched for it and maybe it is not the right one for this reference. However tour feedback is useful for me.

Hi Elena,

I am not a specialist at all but I have this same model and I like it : your father had good tastes.

I differ a little bit with the other statement...but as I said I may be biased being an owner of one.

For watch only, I would say market value is >2000 (without bracelet) and surely more for nice conditions (Last sold example in sept on eBay and in the Uk went for 2.7k€ and the only one available on Chrono24 is at 3.8keuros - which appears very inflated). Yours seems to be a fairly nice one.

The bracelet/endlinks would worth >200euros and the end links 653 remains pretty difficult to find and I believe the issue on your picture seems to come from the curved springbars as DON mentioned which are not adapted to that watch. Those end links alone would easily sold for >80euros.

Even in a cooling down market, my market estimation for yours would be >2.2K.
For a friend who is going to keep it and cherish it, then it's up to you to decide. If he wants to wear it daily he would have to pay for a service. Service cost varies a lot depending on locations but I would say it will be more than 300euros.

1.3K is definitely a price you would want to do only for a friend 😀

Hope this helps a bit.

(This picture is an old one, I've found the 653 end links since then)

Ciao Elena,

great watch. I'm an Italian apprentice watchmaker and let me say the price it's really good!!
As you know the price is also really depending on who sells the watch. In the boutique you will find it for 4K on chrono24 at least 2k.
I'll suggest you a full cleaning and revision that will cost around 100-200Euro. I usually also change the crystal, changing the spring bar and, depending on client choice, a polish.

I agree with @YYTIN ’s valuations. This one that sold in 2021 was listed at €3k: https://omegaforums.net/threads/ome...ial-1972-steel-bracelet-price-reduced.132653/

A couple other notes on the bracelet, there are several different versions if the 1168. Those with “Novolink” on the clasp tend to sell for around $150 - $200 in my experience. The standard 18 mm 1168 sells for $200 - $400 depending on the endlinks. I find it difficult to valuate the 20 mm version (which is what I think we might be looking at here), but I think it’s fair to say $600 - $800 because of their “Apollo Soyuz” association, and I’ve seen claims that they are worth considerably more than that.

i agree with you the last one sold on the forum sold for around 3000 withouth bracelet, so 1300 sounds a little bit low in my opinion.
Concerning the 1168 bracelet, I can confirm that this reference was sold with this bracelet in italy starting from late 74 and it is the 20 mm version.
Here is mine with 1168 and original italian warranty:

Revising my price. Didn’t look at the movement in the other watch and in so so condition.

would move it up to about $2200 friend price.

Thanks to all for the exhaustive feedbacks.
First of all I will go for a revision, including the spring bars. I was thinking also that the bracelet 1168/653 was a replacement, not the original one, but reading @flqt-9000 I have changed my opinion. My previous understanding was that 1170/653 was the unique version for this reference. I'm adding also a picture of the crown
