Hi,

I have Omega Semaster 105.005 with case back that was engraved and I was trying to buy an original one to replace it but it seems the part is handly available… can you please advise where should I look for it ?

If you search long enough, you may find one, you just have to hunt everywhere. But personally, I would suggest that you just live the engraving (if it's good quality) or have it restored. If you have the original case-back and it's not damaged, it's silly to replace it, IMO.

And BTW, an introduction is always a courteous way to start with a new community, as are photos.

It is in good quality so I will keep it as it is. Maybe once I will find a replacement. And that is how the watch looks like 😉

Where in the world are you? There are some excellent case restorers around as Dan S mentioned. Do you have a photo of the caseback?

That’s how it looks. The watch is overall in good condition. If restorarion is an option I think I would go for it. I’m from Poland

Interesting. I was expecting to see a personalized engraving.

That would make sense. I can not understand why sombody engraved original part - the other side of the case back is in very good condition

I would think that could be laser welded and refinished to remove the engraving.
