Nothing generic about my Patria Trench Watch

Very nice indeed.

By generic I only mean that they have non Omega movements - such as ebauches from FHF (most common) Sonceboz and Record, plus some I have not yet been able to identify. I have its sister, plus a few others that I have not yet serviced, this one has the same Mealey crystal guard and an FHF movement:

These watches are incredibly old and represent such a unique epoch in horological history- when manufacturers began thinking outside the box about how we look at time and technology. No longer just fanciful jewelry and fashion accessory, but how to make them practical, durable, more useful. The forefathers of the modern divers and tool watches that swept in to capture everyone's attention decades later.

Well, here is something a little different to the others on this thread so far - 1913 Omega 12''' with WWI period conversion strap. I am surprised they didn't swap those hands out at the time.

Its not yet been serviced (not running), and the leather is rather fragile.

It has potential.

hands are old but probably not original as well as the crown.
dial is metalic with radium numbers.
the watch has been recently serviced and runs well .

Nice watch!

- The 5 Million serial came up in 1916 - so yours is around that date (Chronomaddox),
- Yes yours needs more period sympathetic hands and crown - these are much later - 1930s+
- It looks like a 12 to me, so 12SB or something like that. Can't be sure without a measurement to double check.

Hi
Hands (and maybe dial) are of a later design. Here are some period advertising and catalog scans so that you can see whet style fit this model :

More scans?

I like this extract from an early (non dated but probably pre-1910) Canadian catalog :

The following ones are from a 1917 French catalog :
The classical round case day :

and night :

Demo of the swing ring system :

Swing ring in white :

same in black :

Hi
Look's OK to my eyes, 😀 the minute hand seems to be from another collection.
Series numbers from the movement and covers starts with 4 millions? Because the pics are very fade... i can't see them
Very nice piece!
