Omega Ref 2639, a Redial?

Hi guys,

I found a 2639 at pawnshop, probably relumed, but the hour marker at 6 seems covering up the "SWISS" word. Is this legit or a redial?

Sorry, I do not have the picture of caseback and the movement.

[Edit: please correct me if it's not 2639, and the movement is a bumper if im not mistaken]

Thank you for the input, shop owner was asking $400 for it. Nearly fall for it at first glance.

I am still learning, just wanna check with you whether my thoughts is true. Does the markers seem glued on to you? I seen some reflective substances at the edge of 5 O'clock marker. And the marker doesn't look symmetric.

Hard to tell on pictures. But markers are not part of the dial, they have two tiny feets that pass trough holes in the dial and are riveted underneath. Here I suspect they have not been removed before the repaint, so the black paint creeped up the edges of the markers. Hence the "glued on" appearance.

Terrible redial, overpolished, nothing like a ref 2639 (which is a reference for a 30mm manual-winding movement IIRC).

That make senses now. No wonder those markers looking odd in shape.

Thanks for the input, as I do not have the tools with me to open the case back, so I gotta judge it by how it looks. So i guessed it was a 2639 😁
