Have this watch from my former military career. It is untouched from the time it was issued to me, When I retired and returned my gear to Supply/Stores they said these were binned these years ago - got to keep it. Original radium paint still works (should, given radium has a half life of about 1600 years). The 2221 movement keeps perfect time. I understand there are only a couple hundred of these things left. Its been all over the World with me used sporadically when my battery powered Casio would die. Collector told me not to use it anymore because its so rare. Thought I would share.

i had 3 of these over the last 25 years. the value depends on the back engravings as well. try to focus that picture, use day light. and try again for the front pics. to focus that. just wear it, that`s what they are made for. kind regards. achim

It is always good to see a new one pop up in the wild. Continue to wear in good health.
Was 'Trapper' your callsign? I knew of only one Trapper when in the CAF.
    Cheers,

Although these are 'rare', I'd continue wearing it as it is a robust mechanical movement. Do NOT send it to Omega for a service as they will wreck its' collectability, but if you get it serviced, do your homework to find a very good watchmaker who will sympathetically do just a light lubrication.
From the dial appearance in your photo, I'd say it had been relumed (puffy greenish colour) and the original Omega style hands have been replaced at some point. This could have happened before you were issued it.
    Cheers,
    Buster

How do you find out the significance of the engraving as I have one of these watches
