    Hi,
Anyone with a good advice whether this is an original dial or restamped?
    How about the hands?
Did the glasses have "happy feet" logos at this time?
    Thanks in advance

I'm not a Ranchero expert, but I'd advise caution anytime that a dial of that age shows such bright white indexes.

Dial looks OK to me. Seconds hand probably should be white as this silver version is normally seen on a white dial 2990-1 Ranchero. However, I’ve seen a few of these silver hands on black dial Rancheros so who knows for sure.

    thanks for the infos.
    Two more questions:
Would the radium still be luminous nowadays?
What is the latest possible ref. numbers for original movements. Would a 267 with 177... still prove to be originally built in this watch?

Indeed, however I think this mainly due to the picture. I have some others where it is tending towards a bright yellow

I have a white dial with a cal 268 and 17,406,xxx serial dated to 1960 by extract which I thought was already quite late. There are cal 267 with confirmed serial numbers up to 17,567,xxx; 17,7xx,xxx is pretty high.

I am actually astonished to see that Omega seems to have procuced both cal. in parallel. Since the one on the Omega I intend to buy is higher but still has the 267 whereas the one you mention have the 268 already. Serial number and movement number are on one piece of metal as far as I know.

Do you think that the radium would still be luminous nowadays? It seems that it no longer is with the watch. To my knowledge Radium dials should be self-luminous and do not require light for "loading-up".

The radium is still active but the component that glows (I think zinc oxide?) is long gone.

For radium, a Geiger counter is indispensable.

The dial also looks ok to me. As I recently learned on this forum (courtesy of BenBagbag) a good tell is the way the minute markers at 28 and 32 are slightly longer and touch, but don’t bleed into the sub dial.

I have no real opinion other than these are really growing on me.
