·Dear Forumfriends!
I have been away for a while with no access to my computer, (only my Iphone...),
but I am back now!
This will be my first post for 2024, so why not start the year with an exciting watch (hopefully...)?
This one is a Railmaster 2914-5, serial nr 18.98 million, so it should be around 1961.
Movement is the caliber 285.
Serviced at least one time, no other history regarding the watch.
I did a post regarding this watch last December, and I manage to win the biding on this one!
Link to the post (the headline is for a different Railmaster):

The issue and question I had with this watch was regarding the lume,
and after som discussions/chats with a few Forum members,
the consensus was that work had been done to the dial, with a relume.
So this was in the valuation of the watch.
The dial itself looks nice (except for the black marks around the lume wells).
The case, caseback and bezel are in a very good condition.
The crown is the old flatfoot, and also the Omega logo on the crystal.
I was not sure about the hands, they might also been relumed?
These Railmasters do not come up for auctions so often, so I am very Happy with this one.
The crystal will be polished, and a service and cleaning is also going to be done (in the future).
I have tried to study and also do some research on the web,
and on the Forum here (Sadly no Railmaster101…)!
But not so much info compared to Speedys...
Here is a nice website:

Please do comment (as usual…),
and if you have extra info regarding Railmasters - please do share?
Cheers, and looking forward to a lovely 2024 WatchYear!
