Only just started so please forgive any ignorance. I am trying to locate the calibre number on the watch. On the underside of the balance cock there is the number 8095 which I understand does not exist.
any help or suggestions would be truly appreciated

The 8095 could be part of a build number, depending on the age of the movement.

Can you post some decent pics of the movement with the crown at 12 (if a Lepine) or at 3 if it's a hunter/savonette.

Also the diameter of the top plates or if the movement is uncased, the diameter of the main plate in mm.

Hi
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I enclose pics which I hope are some use.If not, I'll ask my brother to take some for me.They include both sides and also the cases which have numbers stamped. I 'be no idea if they will help or not.
I have put the balance and balance cock and also the crown wheel r oughly in position. Looks like I have some rust to get rid of.
the crown and stem are both missing as is the screw for the crown wheel and also the core, if it needs one.wheel
The diameter of the top plates is 29.52mm.The overall width is only34 no pocket watch so it's a small

From your measurements, the movement would seem to be an Omega Cal. 13 SB or similar. This is a ladies pocket watch movement that was also used for men’s wrist watches during WWI and later.

From the serial numbers on the movement and case, it looks to have been produced in the mid-1910’s.

There is a photo essay on the forum from someone cleaning up a similar movement:

Hope this helps,
