I bought this Omega in Prague during my holidays. It works but it needs servicing as it is losing time when it has less power. How do I know if this is a fake or real Omega?

How do you know? You need to become very familiar with Omega pocket watches to tell if it's fake or not.

However, I can tell you that it is a real Omega.

thank you for confirming,

this was not a planned purchase and I saw the watch as I was on my way to the train station to leave Prague. I though it looked really nice and the price was very good if real. I took a chance without any real time to research. My plan was to take it to Omega to chack and service the watch (not sure they will for this watch).

The watch is working but after about 24 hours it is losing a few minutes.

Do you have a recommendation if I should service it with Omega or maybe better with a reputable watch repair? I'm in London

Do you know information about what year (period) is this watch from?

There’s a 99.7% chance that the staff at an Omega boutique won’t have a clue about pocket watches, and sending it to Omega for repair will cost you much more than the value of your watch. An independent watchmaker will be a better choice for you.

Share more about it when it’s back from service?

The movement serial number dates the movement to 1933. The case serial is also around the same time frame, so mid 1930s.

As noted by @DaveK, and competent watchmaker can service this watch and it will cost must less than an Omega restoration.
