This was the attitude towards Military Subs in the 1980s. Jewellers would convert them back by cutting out fixed lugs and buffing out the engravings, changing sword hand to Mercedes hands.
If you are getting rid of yours I can give you RRP less 40% and I will generously take on the servicing responsibility.
It’s only because I am thinking of applying to be a test pilot and I think having the equipment already could swing it for me.

If only we had an ex test pilot on the forums...

Oh wait!

Personally I would not equate someone wearing an SAS watch with the douchebags that dress up in full uniform.

Most of the special forces folks I run into are wearing a G-Shock of some sort.

This is the case back of my sbs edition, not sure why they won’t show the case back of this sas one?

The SAS PO 2500 should have an all metal back. That’s neat I’d not seen the glass on the 8500 model, just the enamel/glass non see through on the SMP. What’s the “p” number on the outer ring?

For reference the SMP’s have a caseback like the Gary Lopez LE

The ‘p’ number is made up in part of the individuals service number, so is unique to that watch

Everyone has their opinion but it's a bit of a conversation stopper, 'Oh Nice (SAS, SBS insert unit etc) watch, oh it's not mine I bought it off eBay' , as for comex watches many divers frown at non comex divers buying them but the prices have persuaded many to part with them.
