Hi there,

Can somebody point me in the direction where to source an hour wheel 31.046 for the cal. 1128?

I am not able to get it from Omega Services direct, they won´t sell me individual parts!

Ebay etc no luck, nowhere to be found...:S

Thanks
Robert

Can't help with a source, but the full part number is 722112831046, so searching for that or 112831046 might help.

Just be aware that there are 3 different versions of this wheel, with different heights.

722112831046 is H1, which is 2.54 mm

7221128310462 is H2, which is 2.74 mm

7221128310463 is H3, which is 3.04 mm

Thanks, I try!

But it seems nearly impossible to get this part, really annoying...

It's a wear part, so likely any stock that was out on the open market before Omega cut off the resellers in 2015, is long gone.

I only could find the H3 🙁 but I need H1

You seem to be very well informed 😉 do you happen to know about the click spring that can be bought for the hour wheel? Is it possible to fix the hour wheel with that spring? I'm not sure how, but I guess it is between the two wheels! It's a non branded part, not directly from Omega.

1/2 a mm is a lot - never tried this, but maybe you can cut the length down on the lathe?

I've not heard of any click springs - Omega certainly doesn't sell any for these as they only sell the full wheel. I've never tried to take one of these apart actually, so no idea how feasible that is without damaging the wheel...

I have an Omega Seamaster that requires that part, you're not going to find it without an account with Omega. My GMT has needed that part for the last 8 months, my watchmaker keeps saying he's got one coming. I'm picking up the watch next week and sending it to either Omega directly or a watch repair shop such as Nesbit's that has an account directly with Omega.

I can't believe, but the new click spring solved the problem! My watchmaker was able to change the spring between the two wheels!

If you can't get the new part from Omega, it's really worth a try!

Google search: Omega 1128 31046S

My Gmt works flawless again 😀

Found a generic click spring at Urdelar...cost of that spring is over twice what the whole wheel costs, but I guess if you don't want to take it to someone certified this is an option. Let us know if you have any issues with it - curious how long this part will last.

Sorry to butt into this discussion but I have a 2005 Deville GMT and I have the same issue, the hour wheel has failed. I have serviced the watch myself, which I’m happy to do knowing full well Omega will now denounce me!! Rebuilding the watch I have noted really good amplitude from the coax train balance but the date doesn’t advance when I am simply advancing the time in the third crown position. Looking closely at the motion work has shown me that the hour wheel doesn’t have enough tension to push the date advance wheel.
Do you know how your watchmaker changed this click spring? Is this double wheel like a cannon pinion ?? Does one pipe extract from the other?? I would really welcome your help here as the watch is un-usable until this is sorted out
Many thanks!!

Yes, it is a double wheel, the spring in between! Here some photos, I have a new sealed hour wheel! He was able to take apart the two wheels....but I don`t exactly know how. I forgot to tell him to make some pictures...

Thanks for that! I do get the feeling it’s a bit like a canon pinion extraction from what you have said about him getting the wheels apart.

To anyone who might be stalled on this 1128 31046 hour wheel. Note for my 2005 Deville GMT the hour wheel is 3mm high, for info. If you can get the click spring then the double wheels can be separated relatively easily by applying gentle pressure on the bottom wheel towards the top of the centre pipe, like a canon pinion extraction really. Both wheels will slide along the pipe and fall off with the click between. I have attached an image of the 4 pieces involved in this hour wheel for the avoidance of any doubts. Hope this is useful to someone. I will be sourcing a couple of new click springs (just in case) and remaking my watch.!

Found a click spring at evergreenparts GmbH. Quite an expensive piece but needs must when Omega refused to supply the hour wheel (not totally unexpected but a little annoying/disappointing)
