Hello guys,

I just purchased a 3876.50 from a good friend, he bought in 2014 and almost never worn it.
So the watch is close to be still new.

Now, I'm completely lost about how to correctly set both the date and the Moonphase correctly.
The user manual is really really light.

So I checked on various websites and went for this method:

1) set the hour on 6:30 to avoid the dead zone

2) set the moon on full moon

3) then push the button to set the moon for as many days as there are between today and the last full moon, minus one day

3) set the date minus one day

4) turn the hands until passing the day manually and setting the time correctly

While I was doing that, I realized that while the date was passing at midnight, the moon wasn't.
The moon jumped around noon instead.

I don't know if it's how Omega intended it or if the date and the moon are desynchronized and if they are, how can I synchronize them again ?

Thank you very much!

Yes, it changes at noon - most moonphase watches do this...

Thank you @Archer, you're really the Speedmaster Wizard !

And what about the method I used to set both the Moonphase and the date.
Was it the way to do ?
According to the manual, don't bother, just push until you reach today's moon and date lol

Everybody here will tell you it is awesome.

Some of the every will tell you it is not there favorite because of this or that (mostly due to sapphire front and/or sapphire back, misleading caseback inscription, and as you mentioned a questionable moonphase location). With regards to the date and the moonphase being hard to see I can tell you that is true. This has been my daily wearer for the past few months (it refuses to go back in the case). Also the white gold accents on the sub dials are something I really like and completely change the affect of the dial compared to a regular Speedy.

It is a Speedy Pro, a moonwatch, and IMO the best one. It is also the only Pro with the date .I do not have high hopes for its future collectibility but you never know.

Do you own a Speedy now? Why did the 357650 grab your attention?

Hi, I am new on this forum. I have just purchased a 3576.50 from a supposed trusted dealer out of Japan and is like new, however could some help identify what date it was made serial number in the 7778000's. no mention of date or jeweller on the the cards. Came in a timber box. Also wording on clear caseback is missing words 'and only' . This case back simply says the first watch on the moon. this is the same as my sandwich moonwatch. Did they change the wording at some point or do I have an incorrect caseback? Help please on all of the above

Hi, I am new to this forum. I have recently purchased a moonphase speedy 3576.50. The serial is in the 7778000's Could you advise approximate year of manufacture please. Also not sure whether I have incorrect caseback as words are missing 'one and only' Did they correct this in later models or have I got a strange one. Came in timber box. Would really appreciate your help and advise. Bob

Yours is the newer version. Someone emailed Omega and they confirmed both versions are correct. See thread below.

does anyone else find it funny that this complication comes on a manual winding watch? (It sounds complicated to set and I’m not sure I’d buy one if I wasn’t wearing it daily)
