Yes 1956 issue. Dark brown strap to the left of the RM prototype. 2777-4 reference.
Would the 2777-4 above be a rare model? I have one that would need a bit of work. The luminous dots are missing and hands are not original. The condition would not be like any of yours though🤔.
Does anyone have an opinion on the current market value of a '53 RAF 2777-1 Bienne restoration? This one has an extract of the archives. It also has a reproduction doohickey and one of the Zaf Basha reproduction "VPI" paper disks. Condition is excellent and it had a fairly recent service. I am thinking of putting it up for sale, depending on what it might bring.
I have looked for comps and come up largely empty. One was offered at $8500 a couple of years ago on Chronotrader, which seems unrealistically high to me, but no indication it sold. I would think it should sell for something between the Fat Arrow and the unrestored Thin Arrow, but there is a lot of room there.
Any thoughts from you knowledgeable collectors would be welcome.
