Hi,
I was wondering if this dial configuration is correct for the Omega Marine CK679? I haven't seen this version before with round plots.
Would appreciate the members thoughts.
Cheers Russell.

I looked in "Omega Designs", which has a number of Marine pictures and none of them have this dial. Might not be original.

Hi Tom,
I have seen three separate CK679's with this exact dial configuration from searches on the net. That's why I have put it to the forum.
Cheers Russell.

Interesting. One book is not definitive. 馃榾 Hope you can find corroboration!

Newbie here - excuse any potential mistakes. I did some research on Omega 679 mod dials. My conjecture is these mods are fairly old, and may have been done for 679 owners who wanted a lume option. I found the same green-spotted dot dial above for sale today on ebay. I also found the following examples:

A different mod with possible radium arms and hands. Fullywound claims it is "100% original" https://www.fullywound.co.uk/produc...t1-worlds-first-divers-watch-museum-condition 39cf1a_e2815c37d81b4bf19972c14ce738fae5~mv2_d_1450_1450_s_2.jpg

Example from The Vintageur: WhatsApp-Image-2019-05-27-at-13.54.06-1-1-768x1024.jpg

A 2008 catalogue showing this face as a mod on page 9: https://issuu.com/teko/docs/omega_sportwatches

Re the green-spotted example above, the dots could possibly be burn marks from radium. If true, this watch might be potentially hazardous when taking the mechanism out of the case; with possible exposure to radium dust. https://www.vintagewatchstraps.com/luminous.php
