Value is secondary.

It’s a family heirloom first.

Oddly the paperwork states white gold though.

Reference is a 166.1561 that should show you the approx value with a little searching.

Looks like maybe 9k gold rather than white gold?
9k was quite common in uk

Very cool watch. It's worth servicing and wearing. I'd expect a service to run 250-300.

I'd also get a leather strap for normal wear, and just put the bracelet on to dress it up. The bracelet looks plated, and won't really hold up to daily wear.

Hi, I contacted omega and they quoted me £450 for a basic service. The watch works fine, I believe the cost was for a service and replacing the glass.

Suggest looking at a decent independent watchmaker rather than omega who are very expensive.
Have seen this one who is reasonable and shows their work online but I haven't actually used

Paperwork states 9k.

The BC before the reference denotes white gold which is wierd. So I dove deeper as I was not aware of BL….

Except it’s actually BL which is rose/pink gold 9k. As per some old omega documents.

Mystery solved!!!!! Rose gold 9k paperwork is correct!!!

9k rode gold is unusual, from the photo it looks more yellow than rose colour!

I'd do as onega said, and not have Omega service it, but instead a good independent watchmaker. It will be 250-300 plus parts for a service, and they can probably get the crystal looking nearly new.

Very nice. Won't get you too much money if you sold it, but definitely priceless when keeping it. And for the latter reason, also worth servicing the movement (nothing else).

white gold

I read 9k gold as well.

Condolences on your loss, and i agree with @Dan S and others in this thread. A service at Omega will cost you at least 700 euro's (depending on where you are based). A independent watchmaker should be able to service this and fix it up a bit.

Id be a tad wary of that outfit personally. Having looked at the website I note there is no address or contact name at all on there. They are cheap it’s true but I’d rather use someone a bit more transparent.
