·Can anyone tell me the correct end links for a BOR bracelet on a Jumbo Constellation 168.001

·Thank you MtV. Mine has 556 end links and I had an idea they were not correct.
My Jumbo Constellation was bought with a beads of rice bracelet fitted but lately I have realized that something was not right . I think 18mm links have been used on one side of the bracelet and the end pieces are not right . In other words the bracelet has probably been made up from someones parts bin.

·I‘m not sure it has. The bracelet itself isn’t different, only the endlinks. In other words, 168.001 jumbos use the same BoRs for their 19mm lug widths as other Constellations with their 18mm lug width. Only the endlinks are 1mm wider.
Fair warning: 517s are extremely difficult to obtain.
And while it’s not technically period correct, if you want it on a bracelet for the meantime, 1069/524 works a treat 😀

·For my Constellation ref. 14777, I use 19 mm end links marked No. 17 with a 1502 bracelet.
I believe the 517 end links should fit as well.
Please have a look at the example I’ve attached.

·Good point, 17 and 517 both work of course. Just like 11 and 511 are basically identical, 12 and 512, etc etc 😀

I know the dial has been restored and it doesn't really bother me. I am not a collector or investor. I just wanted a nice vintage jumbo constellation for myself rather than buy a modern watch. I just sold my Speedmaster because I never used it and bought this watch instead which suits me better.

·Right. Apologies for the „that doesn’t look good“ then - what I meant is that it looks refinished. Big deal for us nerds around here, but since you’re aware of it and you like it, all good!
Regarding the bracelet: There‘s no great recommendation, no place that makes it easy. The 168.001s were only sold in Japan. Accordingly, that’s where you’re most likely to find the bracelet. In at least 9 out of 10 cases, it’ll be on a watch. I’d consider buying one with the bracelet and reselling it without it.

·I will try to track one down .if I have no luck I guess there's always aftermarket options.
I would really like to have it on a BoR but a good leather strap would not be the end of the world. I don't suppose you guys would ever entertain a non original bracelet but in case anyone out there is prepared to own up to one, is there a recommended source ? Or have I just committed a cardinal sin by even touching on the subject .

·Yes there are many (too many) . I was just hoping someone might have come across a decent quality AM considering the rarity of the original.
