For sale is a particularly rare Omega Constellation “Jumbo” ref. 168.001 - the largest vintage Constellation Omega ever produced at 37mm.

I bought it from @MtV back in 2022, an I have been wearing it for special occasions. But now it's time for it to move on. You can check out the original sales post here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/ome...-37mm-vertically-brushed-dial-1650eur.150346/ (Matt's pictures are so much better than mine☺️)

If you want to read more about this particular model, I can recommend this thread: https://omega-constellation-collect.../09/omega-constellation-168001-jumbo.html?m=1

It's a rare watch that very seldom comes up for sale. What makes this watch even more unusual is its vertically brushed silver dial, that gives the structure of the dial a fantastic look that changes from dark to light and vice versa.

Omega Constellation Automatic “Jumbo”:

  • Ref. 168.001
  • Cal. 561 chronometer-certified automatic movement
  • Serial: 203903xx
  • Year: 1963
  • 37mm stainless steel case
  • Original silver-white vertically brushed dial
  • Black, used leather strap with original period-correct Omega buckle

Condition
An attractive and fully original example throughout.

The rare non-luminous, brushed dial is in a good condition. There are a few spots in the lacquer visible at certain angles, but they are generally unobtrusive in normal wear.

The case remains sharp with defined bevels, a strong observatory medallion, and a caseback with only very minor small scratches, it’s very attractive indeed. It retains its correct original decagonal Omega crown and original Omega crystal.

The cal. 561 movement is clean, original, winds smoothly, keeps good time, and shows healthy power reserve. The watch has not received service in my possesion.

A rare, highly collectible Jumbo Constellation with an uncommon dial configuration and excellent overall originality.

Price: 1650€, bids welcome. No returns. Payment by Wise or bank transfer. Shipping to Europe preferred. The watch is in Denmark.

Yes, that's for sure - it's a stunner. And it came from a really good guy in Germany😉

That didn't take very long! It's a very nice watch. I'm very happy that the watch was quickly snapped up -- because I was thinking about it and the last thing that I need is another watch! Congrats to the buyer and the seller.
