Hello everybody,

I would like to kindly ask your professional opinion about an original Gold 1969 Speedmaster Apollo XI BA145.022.
It is currently listed on Heritage Auctions website

It is a very clean example in my opinion with the original wine coloured bezel, #167, making it close to one of the earliest production models delivered to Astronauts and NASA people.

The Auction ends soon in one day and the Reserve amount is set to 60K USD with no bidders at the moment.
May I ask your opinion about the timepiece? Is it worth the price?

Thank you so much in advance.

Always hard to tell w/ photos alone, but appears to be a nice example on quick look. There may be some condition issues w/ the bracelet (looking specifically at the last few links below the clasp, feels like an exaggerated taper). Unsure if it's a full link bracelet as well, that can certainly impact the value here. The end links are interesting... typically you see them "open up" due to gold being softer and the overall age of the watch, but here they appear tight to the case.

$75K, including buyer's premium, feels a bit high... but given the recent sale prices of astronaut-owned examples, one could expect it to reach that number (or higher if it finds the right buyer).

Phillips had #50 up for auction last week, however it appeared to be removed. This was the Cartier-stamped example. Unsure why... anyone have any insight there?

Price has dropped now. Maybe due to the lack of offers..
