if you have a chance to try it on then please do., the blue SS GM has been out of stock for a while in the US online shop . It is definitely the more popular version of the Globemaster and the pie pan is more prominent on the Blue dial watch.

Actually in general the regular SS GMs have become quite scarce at ads, I was lucky to locate a piece otherwise they would have had to order it from the factory which meant higher price and no discount.

In my opinion the GMs have a place amongst Omega's top tier watches.

Hi Dedlock, congrats on the purchase!! That’s silver dial looks gorgeous. In certain angles it almost looks like the hands and hour markers are black instead of silver.......
Is there any chance you can post some pics of the watch with steel bracelet from further away? I’m trying to get a feel for the how the bracelet looks on the watch vs strap.

My local dealer only has the steel / gold model in with leather strap so not able to see the steel bracelet in person....

Thanks in advance and congrats again.

The hands and hour markers do shift along with light they'll shimmer between silver and black.

I hope the below pics help with your decision

The bracelet as discussed earlier , alot of people have had issues with but my arms/wrists are on the thinner end and the firmer fit doesn't bother me. It feels like its been designed to be a semi-integrated bracelet, its definitely different and I appreciate the brushed finishing, im not very picky when it comes to these things so I'm sure everybody will have their own tolerance level.

I dropped in today and really liked the GM in blue. Discount was decent but not extraordinary, and the AD was unwilling to add a strap because "Omega don't let us do that." Left without purchasing but may try again next week. At over CAD 7500.00 (down from CAD 9700.00) I may wait on the new Snoopy at this point, but a beautiful piece for sure.

The blue GM is really beautiful. Not sure if ADs are really controlled by Omega to that extent, others have cut deals by adding straps etc. but I guess that’s never a given.

Scapa I'm assuming that 9700 CAD is the old price and that this AD has not increased the price as of yet. Post price Hike the GM are expected to retail for 10,500 CAD atleast.

Keep note of that , I guess with Snoopy being so close it'll be wiser to wait and see.

As for Omega controlling Ads , they do to an extent, two different ads i do business with have mentioned to me Omega have asked for discounts to be minimised until full implementation of price increases.

Although I love my blue GM more than many other watches, I have to admit that the white one is the much more versatile watch and you can play a lot more with all kinds of straps. But I still wouldn't give away mine.

Thanks. Yep, they hadn't increased the price as of yet. I've bought a few pieces from this AD, and they're generally very good about adds like straps and so forth, so this is new.

Still on the fence a bit, though time is running out on this one. I really liked the detailing and finish in person, and as a longtime Doxa guy, weight is positively feather-like given the solidity of the casing. My partner was a bit bemused by the date font seeming out of place with the overall vintage vibe, but I hadn't really noticed it until she pointed it out. It is definitely a compelling package.

Black Annual calender Globemaster has mysteriously vanished from Omegas Website.

I have never seen one in before, so I'm guessing Omega never produced any?

Happy to say a little over two months in and I'm still quite enraptured by the Globemaster, yes it's not perfect but its a keeper and I hope the higher ups keep developing this line because it does have huge potential to serve as a modern Omega Classic.

So ive tried this watch on the AD and the bracelet are super comfortable, i think this might be the best steel and unpolished bracelet since the rolex oyster.
And the size of the dial is just right.

What do you think about this watch?
A beautiful watch. i particularly love the Annual Calendar version, which for some reason can be quite heavily discounted here in UK (strap not bracelet).
But purchased Ploprof & BB GMT this year, so will definitely have to wait.

Yes that suits and frames the watch beautifully. What bracelet is it?

I just bought the GM on bracelet and received a strap“for free“ at an AD in Zürich. However the discount I got on the msrp was meager. Of course Omega‘s practices could very well vary by market/country

Hi fellow GM fans,

I was wondering if anyone on this thread could give me an idea of how much the bracelet costs?

I was so close to becoming part of the GM owners club but my purchase fell through yesterday (long story but the seller just didn't seem to be able to get the GM) sadly so I am back on the hunt and now considering pre owned...hence my question on bracelet. I have searched online and read forums but can't seem to find the price anywhere and all the OB's in London are closed due to Covid. I have the product code 020stz002922.

Very much hope to be able to join the GM club soon with a blue dial 😀 and thanks in advance for any input.

This is mine. I have been thinking of selling this one many times, but whenever put it on again I resign.

Still not sure if I should leave it or not, but it's a beauty for sure.

It’s a stunner on this bracelet.

Taking €/$/£ into account, which would you rescue (including straps) from a fire - GM blue, or VC Overseas?

I think the order of magnitude is about CHF 1000. I bought the leather strap and clasp separately for chf 710 in total. I once asked the price of a Titanium bracelet at ab Omega boutique (for the aqua terra good planet) and they quoted roughly chf 1500. Therefore I think a steel bracelet should come in at 1000 more or less.
