For sale Vintage Omega “Globemaster” Automatic, 3570, made 1958
A model of American production on the calibre 491.
Matt black oxidised guilloché dial, minute circle with strokes, facetted and stamped gilt hour markers with radium dots, luminous gilt Dauphine hands, two-piece case by Star Watch Case, 10-carat Goldfilled bezel and lugs, steel case back.
I am not sure what to say about crown, on promo poster crown is different but also I did seen vintage globemasters with crown like this one. So I cant be sure is this genuine or changed in some past period.
from web: As the “Globemaster” name was used from 1952 to 1956 in the United States and Canada, it became a well-known appellation in North America. To capitalise on this, the general agents of these two countries continued to use the appellation to designate some of their standard models, explaining the absence of “Chronometer” from some models up to the early 1960s.
I have this one for longer period in my collection and couldnt find any of them online, if I did made mistake in description let me know. thank you
Watch runs good, it was serviced in summer 2025. There are normal signs of use and wear on it. Strap and buckle are not Omega
