Omega Geneve...is this a fake?

The "like new" appearance seems fishy, but not as much as the movement. The Omega name looks like it's printed instead of engraved. I'm new to Omegas (except the one I inherited from my Grandpa) so I'm turning to the experts for your sage advice. Any thoughts on the authenticity of this Omega Geneve? It's on eBay right now and had a bid starting at our around $0.99. It's the exact color and shape I've been looking for so I was super excited when I saw it, but something makes me hesitate.

Thanks in advance.

You would probably benefit from having the opinions of a number of others, but I don’t see a lot wrong with it. Damned faint praise, I know. Others may offer opinions, so don’t proceed based on what I say. The movement in particular is not one sought after by a lot of collectors. But I have a day/date Omega (different model) with that movement in it, and it is a great performer.

Quite genuine. But it's been re-dialed.

My ebay "rule of thumb": the slickness of the photos is generally in inverse proportion to the quality of the watch.

Movement is legit. Case probably too although a pic of inner caseback would be nice. Obvious Redial. Haven't clicked on the link but watch looks "South Korean".

Thanks for all the feedback. Good to know it's not a fake, but I assume the redial reduces it's value considerably.

And, yes, it is from South Korea. Good eye, Rochete.

Hi can anyone answer the same question regarding this watch please. It appears to be in my price range, I am buying as a gift for the inlaws. In my opinion it reminds me of a 70's Geneve/seamaster 166 but I did not think they were branded on the back. No photos of the movement sorry.

I can see now that the caseback is seamaster and the dial Geneve. Must be genuine!!! I guess I'll steer clear.

Geneve's can have Seamaster backs.

It's genuine but in very average shape.

Thank you Davidt, I might give it a go then. See if I can't get a very average price. I know it is not desirable but at £1-200 It might be worth a go.

Early - mid 70's.

Entry level model, in gold cap in fairly poor condition.

On one hand you could say at £100 or so it's not a terrible buy. On the other hand (and in my opinion) it's better to spend more on a better example.
