I was wondering if the OP had scratches on the case from the 617 end links. You have the 560 I believe. Do you have any scratches on the case from the endlinks?

Sorry for the delayed response - I haven't looked at this post for a while.

Negative on scratches on the case. Twice, I've returned to the OEM leather strap, and nothing is amiss on the case.

Excellent review. It actually greatly contributed to why I am seriously considering 1125 now for my FOIS. I plan on using both leather and 1125 interchangeably. A little undecided on end link (leaning 560) but either way, what a great review.

 

I don’t have an Audi! It’s a Lexus! And the carpet is just fine, thank you.

Just wanna know the difference between endlinks 560 & 617. Knowing they are both suited for 19mm straight lugs. Dimensions difference? Or installation difference? Will be helpful. Thanks

I found this page super helpful, so in case it helps any others thought I'd post my experience getting this done in London.
- the Omega boutiques in London will sell you an 1125/617, but the clerks/salespeople are generally clueless, i went to two boutiques and both had to be walked through it in painstaking detail (at first they'll say the watch doesn't come with a steel bracelet and stare blankly at you, but if you just keep repeating as many times as necessary (4 or 5 times, then once more when they call over the manager) that you know that, but you want an 1125/617 please, and can they please just order it for you, you'll get there in the end.
- cost was £335 (Q4 2018).
- the first boutique said 2-3 months to arrive. the second (who i ordered from), said 2 to 3 weeks, and it ultimately arrived after about 5 weeks.
- not sure about any of the filing on the 617 discussion, i had the boutique fit it for me (they did it for free), and they didn't mention anything about that (i also insisted they put new, size appropriate spring bars in, which they did, and also didn't charge for, which was nice).
- i've since flipped it back and forth between leather strap and the 1125/617, and the changeover is generally pretty easy (i use a pretty decent Bergeon spring-bar tool to do it each time). not as easy as changing a Rolex strap, but definitely doable by an amateur (like me).
- overall, super pleased with the look of the steel strap. very glad it got this done (and that this page exists to put me onto it in the first place!)

I dont want to make a New topic for the short question i have so hope I can ask it Here because its about a 1125 look a like bracelet..

I have a Bi Color bracelet which is 19mm. There is no referencenumber in the clasp but there is a date (2-73)

It really looks like a 1125 bracelet but the 1125 is always steel..

Can somebody tell me more about the bracelet ? For which model is it ? Thank you in advance !

 

Certainly looks like 1125/1171. Lots of Omega bracelets don't have a ref number, and the 4 digit on Omega bracelets is not exclusive to one metal.

 

Thanks. But I don't know a bicolor watch which came om a 1125 or 1171 bracelet. I believe its a 1125 because the ends are 19mm.

There are a few steel Seamasters equipped with the 1125, and there certainly are some good plated versions of them that your bracelet would go along well. That's not counting many more of the electronic models both fully plated and bi-colour in the 70s, that your bracelet likely came from, IMO.
