Omega Flightmaster Issue

Hello everyone!

Looking for an advice or direction. I have this fantastic Omega Flightmaster, very clean with amazing dial and bracelet.

Bottom crown on the left that moves the rotating bezel, has it’s stem broken. All the gear parts are there.

Question:

1) Where to search for the stem?

2) If someone has it, I am looking to buy.

3) Is it possible to make it?

Kind regards and thanx to everyone!

The part is available from Omega, take your watch to an Omega certified watchmaker for repair.

Yea this is a lovely watch, best to take it to a watchmaker with a parts account and get it sorted correctly.

The issue, why the stem got broken is because the rotating ring gets stuck by melted glass seal and the stem brakes, when you try to rotate it by force... Saying that because it will require more than a stem to make it working properly again. Full service of the watch by Omega certified watchmaker will sort it out, as all parts are still available.

I agree, the seal is clearly melted, it can be observed from the glass. This can lead damage to the bezel, so a service from someone who know how to deal with Flightmasters is reccommended. He will have to be very carefull when removing the melted seal from the bezel without removing or damaging the white numbers. BTW:
  • melted seals are a common issue on pristine Flightmasters like these;
  • this pinion always brokes when trying to disassemble It from the crown.

Pinion is part 078ST0001. It also has an O-ring on it, which is part 088NS0441.

Clearly the watch needs attention but those are some of the parts that are needed.
